Abstract

Massive Multiple-Input Multiple-Output has emerged as a key enabler for 5G and beyond wireless communication systems. By employing a very large number of antennas at the base station, Massive MIMO achieves significant improvements in spectral efficiency, energy efficiency, and system reliability compared to conventional MIMO systems. This report introduces the concept of Massive MIMO, summarizes its current development status, and highlights its advantages over traditional MIMO. Furthermore, a simulation methodology is proposed to verify the performance gains in terms of channel capacity and diversity.
