Abstract

Artificial intelligence(AI) is an emerging subfield of computer science. A hundred years ago, it was unimaginable for people to conceive of a machine that could study as a human. At an early stage of artificial intelligence, the father of artificial intelligence, Alan Turing, designed an advanced test named the Turing test, which inspires people to believe that a machine is capable of imitating humans. Following his step, a lot of scientists made significant contributions to artificial intelligence development. Nowadays, AI is a complex field, encompassing machine learning and deep learning as two key examples. Both of these two examples are inspired by the human’ thinking process. Machine learning focuses on learning and analyzing data to produce a reliable output, while deep learning can simulate the structure of human’ brain and address the problem by using neural networks. Knowing the development of artificial intelligence and how these algorithms work is crucial for understanding this interesting new branch of computer science.
